“I am where I am today as an entrepreneur, first because of a good education that my parents invested in and the impact of watching them live a life of excellence. My late father, a military doctor, imbued in me a love for a job perfectly done, he was a consummate perfectionist. Later, I got an appreciation for entrepreneurship watching my mother work hard to make ends meet and raise my sisters and I, managing various ventures.
Each success that I have had has been on the shoulders of others who were willing to teach me, guide me and be a sound board for my ideas. I have been mentored at every turn of my career, the value and impact of which is something I cannot measure.
I believe these have been fundamental elements in allowing me to be courageous in my entrepreneurial pursuits and in helping me achieve my dreams.
It is important that our brand grows in tandem with our CSR footprint and it is in this regard, that I currently serve on the selection panel for Africa Venture, a program designed to train and inspire emerging leaders across the continent. I hope that by sharing my experience and lessons as an entrepreneur, I will help the next generation of leaders go further faster.”
